Madhya Pradesh Transport Department is a government agency that deals with a wide range of vehicle-related tasks and duties, such as the issuance of driving licenses, registration certificates (RC), permits, and pollution control, along with the enforcement of road safety laws in the state. For example, if you own a petrol car with an ex-showroom price of ₹3.5 Lakhs and an unladen weight of 1,200 kg, the one-time fee would be 6% of ₹3.5 Lakhs (approximately ₹21,000), and the annual tax would be ₹1,000 (base) x 1 (petrol) = ₹1,000.
