Goa Traffic Police Challan Rates List 2022

Being infamous for attracting tourists from all over the world for partying, road accidents has become a major problem in Goa. According to Goa traffic police officials, the underlying cause behind most of the accident cases is over speeding. 

With the rise in the number of road accidents pan-India, the central government revised the MVA 1988 in which the penalty amounts were raised by almost 200%. Though the Goa government did not fully comply with the new rates, it has accepted fine amounts for a few offenses. The new challan rates in Goa came into effect on 1st May 2021. As a result, the Goa traffic challan rate list is different from the rest of the country.
