Nagaland Traffic Police Challan Rates List 2022

An efficient Road Transport System is crucial for the smooth functioning of traffic. The Nagaland government has formed a State Level Road Safety Committee and District Level Road Safety Committee to carry out road safety measures. Anyone caught violating traffic rules and regulations is subject to fines, as per the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, issued by the Government of India.

Nagaland traffic police aim to safeguard the public interest by making their mobility safe and smooth on road. It also encourages general public to more responsible. Drivers/riders must carry mandatory documents such as driving license, RC, vehicle’s insurance certificate, PUC certificate, permit, and vehicle’s certificate of fitness (applicable only to transport vehicles) with them at all times. On-demand by a police officer in a uniform or an officer of the Transport Department, drivers have to present these documents for inspection. In failing to do so, he/she will be issued with a challan.
