With the new tax regime in Himachal Pradesh, it is made compulsory for non-HP commercial vehicles to pay entry tax for entering the state borders. As per the recent guidelines issued by the state government, a tax ranging from Rs 3000 to Rs 6000 per day will be levied on commercial vehicles (such as tempo travelers, taxis, tourist buses, etc.) entering the state of Himachal Pradesh. The entry tax will be levied on commercial vehicles registered outside of the state. Refer to the following table for the entry tax rates in Himachal Pradesh based on different vehicle types.
