FASTag, a Radio Frequency ID Technology introduced by the Government of India, makes it easy and quicker for commuters in India to get through toll plazas quickly and easily. The FASTag card should be attached to the windshield’s upper-middle section. FASTag-enabled toll plazas have a radio frequency reader that scans the FASTag card while in motion and automatically deducts any toll fees from the digital wallet linked to the FASTag.

According to NH Fee Rule, 2008 and any subsequent amendments, the vehicle of a person with a physical disability falls within the exempted categories for vehicles. If you’re a physically disabled person and your car is registered under the Invalid Carriage’/ ‘Retrofitted category, you’re eligible for a free FASTag. You can request your RTO to have your vehicle RC show ‘Invalid Carrier’ or ‘Retrofitted.
A disabled person can apply for FASTag at any FASTag issuing bank and receive a free FASTag. The physically disabled owner does not have to pay for the recharge of the zero-value FASTag card, unlike the normal FASTag.

- Completed and signed Application Form
- RC of the Vehicle
- Identification proof (Aadhar Card/PAN card, Driving License/Passport, Voter ID/Government ID, etc.
- Exemption proof
