Plying Transport Vehicle w/o Expired Permit

In India, it is illegal to ply a transport vehicle with an expired permit. The permit is a legal document that authorizes the vehicle to ply on specific routes and for a specific duration. The permit also specifies the number of passengers or amount of goods that the vehicle is authorized to carry.

  1. Fine: The fine for plying a transport vehicle with an expired permit can range from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000, depending on the type of vehicle and the severity of the offense.
  2. Impounding of the vehicle: The vehicle may be impounded by the authorities, and the owner may have to pay additional fees for the release of the vehicle.
  3. Suspension or cancellation of the permit: The permit of the vehicle may be suspended or cancelled, and the owner may have to apply for a new permit to ply the vehicle again.
